Glass or acrylic?
- Glass
- Crisp and scratch-resistant. The classic choice for most picture frames.
- Acrylic
- About half the weight of glass and shatter-resistant. Better for large frames, high-traffic areas and children's rooms.
How to measure
For replacement frame glass, measure the inside of the frame's rebate (the recess the glass sits in), width × height. For a mirror, measure the wall space. Send the sizes in millimetres or centimetres, or bring the frame to the shop and we will measure it.

Can you replace the glass in my picture frame?
Yes. Bring the frame to the shop in Karama, or send the rebate size, and we cut new glass or acrylic to fit.
Can you cut a mirror to a custom size?
Yes. Mirrors are cut to your measurements and can be framed with any of our mouldings.
Is acrylic better than glass for frames?
Acrylic is lighter and shatter-resistant, so it suits large frames and busy spaces. Glass is more scratch-resistant. We can advise on the best choice for your piece.
